International Compliance
LHH is partnering with an established company in the Portland Metro area on an International Compliance position.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance Management:
- Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations, including import and export laws, customs regulations, and trade agreements.
- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in international trade laws and regulations.
Annual Cycle Counts:
- Manage and coordinate annual cycle counts for international inventory.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of inventory records.
- Analyze cycle count results and implement corrective actions as needed.
Freight Forwarding:
- Oversee the management of international freight forwarding operations.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
- Monitor and optimize freight forwarding processes to enhance efficiency.
Import and Export Operations:
- Manage import and export documentation.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to relevant authorities.
- Maintain accurate and organized compliance records and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in international compliance, freight forwarding, and import/export operations.
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
- Experience with annual cycle counts and inventory management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
$28hr-$32hr
