Corporate and Firmwide Employee Communications is an integral function within JPMorgan Chase, focused on reinforcing our culture and keeping employees informed and engaged with the firm’s priorities and diverse businesses; the team is a trusted advisor to senior leaders, key stakeholders and other communications managers across the company and utilizes a variety of engagement channels and tools. Among these are intranet sites, the employee newspaper, digital signage, email messages, internal exhibits, learning sessions and large and small employee meetings. As a Internal Communications VP for Global Technology you will lead communications for our Global Tech Chief Operating Office. You will partner with senior technology leaders, including members of the Global Tech Leadership team, to develop strategic communication strategies and create content that enhances employee engagement and improves understanding of major programs and initiatives within the 60K+ technology organization and across JPMorgan Chase. This unique role within the Global Technology Communications team offers a diverse range of responsibilities, allowing you to influence and lead broader employee communications and engagement efforts related to new and emerging technologies at the firm.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute innovative and engaging communication strategies for major technology programs including Public Cloud Enablement & Adoption, Privileged Access and talent initiatives; be the communications SME and strategic advisor for the Global Technology Chief Operating Officer (COO)
  • Craft and deliver impactful communications, including executive messages, business updates, success stories and organization announcements
  • Organize and facilitate employee and senior leadership meetings, including town halls and small group sessions
  • Create and deliver a consistent and engaging communications content pipeline for employees, utilizing various channels such as intranet, email, video, and articles
  • Partner with senior leaders across Global Technology and GT Communications to generate awareness and adoption of technology capabilities and solutions among technologists
  • Bring creativity and a deep understanding of the audience while maintaining and designing intranet content and other communications materials
  • Contribute to and lead communication plans that align leadership objectives with the overall GT strategy and firmwide objectives
  • Track and analyze metrics to improve ongoing tactics and identify opportunities for new communication methods
  • Collaborate with global Corporate Communications colleagues to execute impactful cross-discipline programs
  • Immerse yourself in the function and business to foster stronger connections and expand your responsibilities

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • BA/BS degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in communications
  • Proactive nature and ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced setting with tight deadlines
  • Excellent relationship building, collaborative decision-making skills and an all-round team player
  • Excellent writer with purpose, attention to detail and audience-first mindset, and strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient in visual storytelling through various tactics including video and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in communications, preferably in a technology or financial services setting supporting senior executives
  • Ability to manage large-scale, complex projects with discipline and precision; knowledge of corporate employee communications tactics and execution, with a high level of independence, energy, integrity, and eagerness to learn and contribute
  • Demonstrates respect for diversity, accepts accountability and responsibility, and has outstanding judgment, problem-solving ability, and resourcefulness with high ethical standards; experience with Intranet design, other design software, content development, email management systems and collaboration and measurement tools
