Hitachi Energy is seeking an energetic Internal Communications Manager for its U.S. operations, based in Raleigh, NC, North America Headquarters. If you are passionate about storytelling, employee engagement, building culture and content creation for employees, we need you! You will be responsible for creating and managing the US internal communications program to boost the Hitachi Energy brand internally, and support corporate functions communications at all levels inside the organization, partnering with executives, businesses, and functions. You will measure what you do and gauge employee engagement levels.
The successful candidate will be a highly collaborative and transparent individual working internally across business units. Additionally, proven innovative approaches to pro-actively develop opportunities for publishing content and the ability to operate in a highly dynamic environment will be keys to success. You should be able to write well and for different audiences. You should be able to tell a story in a compelling and consistent way.

Your Responsibilities:
Create and execute strategic internal communications plans for Hitachi Energy U.S. employees
Create engaging written and visual messaging to motivate and inspire employees, including videos and internal podcasts
Partner and collaborate with Canada and Mexico communications teams in defining the strategy and priorities for internal communications in the North America region
Write news articles, posts, blogs, and announcements for various internal communications channels
Create content for executive communications and help executives build their personal brand within the organization
Provide communication support for various corporate and employee events
Oversee rollout and localization of global communications initiatives and change management plans within the U.S.
Manage communications projects with high detail and accuracy from start to finish
Partner and collaborate with employee branding and corporate functions to assist with functional communications
Manage internal social media channels for U.S. employees
Manage communication and design agencies to produce deliverables on time and on budget.

Specific tasks:
Editorial service, including the writing and editing of announcements and releases, both general and technical ones, speeches, presentations, fact sheets
Ensure consistent content and messaging for thought leadership positioning
Social media savvy
Passionate about storytelling
Consult and coach various teams on best practices of writing and storytelling
Interdependencies:
Define processes/planning/external monitor activities to reflect business priorities and long-term positioning, in line with the global strategy
Work in close collaboration with the global internal communications community
Work closely with Business Lines communications teams
Manage creative agencies to define a strategy and report on the internal communications activities
Your Background:
Minimum of 5 years professional experience with 3 years relevant experience in internal and/or organizational communications, ideally with an interest in technology and innovation
Experience with cross-function communications with a focus on internal editorial content (blogs, branding, web, social, etc.)
Understanding of the technology industry and employee needs
Experience in working in a global, complex organization is a plus
Proven understanding of digital communications channels and the power of social media
Proven exceptional writing/editing and oral communication skills (writing samples will be requested)
Proven track record in building strong internal communications programs
Proven experience in analyzing and developing relevant metrics in dealing with different stakeholders
Excellent written and oral English language skills are required - other languages are a plus
Nice to have: Business knowledge or at least industrial technology/capital equipment sectors
Strong networking ability and multi-cultural credentials
Direct work experience with senior management
Video or multimedia experience
