Internal Communications Manager

LaSalle Network has partnered with one of the nation's leading real estate services organizations looking to hire on a contract Internal Communications Manager to lead their M&A communications team on one of their growing brands.

As an Internal Communications Manager, you will support their HR Acquisitions & Integration Project Manager in managing incoming M&A projects. Your primary responsibility will be crafting critical communications and contributing to the comprehensive communication strategy aimed at acquired and internal employees. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of complex communication tasks, aligning with multiple dynamic deal timelines.

This will be a W-2 contract position that will last until the EOY and possibly be open ended. This Internal Communications Manager can work remotely or go on-site to their Chicago HQ, they will be expected to work full-time hours, 35-40 hours/week.

Internal Communications Manager Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive internal communication plans and strategies for M&A activities, ensuring alignment with overall corporate objectives
• Craft clear, compelling and timely communications targeted at various stakeholders, including employees, executives and external partners
• Collaborate closely with the HR Acquisitions & Integration team to support seamless integration processes and employee engagement initiatives
• Manage communication channels such as intranet, newsletters, town hall meetings and other platforms to keep employees informed and engaged throughout the M&A process
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on communication strategies, providing insights and recommendations to enhance employee understanding and morale during periods of change
• Monitor feedback and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communication initiatives, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes

Internal Communications Manager Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field. A Master's degree is a plus
• 5+ years' proven experience in internal communications, with specific experience in managing communications during mergers and acquisitions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences and stakeholders
• Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into effective communication strategies
• Experience in the real estate industry or related sectors is preferred but not required
