Internal Auditor

Our client is a privately held telecom company that has ambitious growth plans. The Chief Audit Executive is looking for someone with an appetite for learning and growth. The CAE has significant experience with a Big 4 firm and prefers someone who has completed 1 year of professional services experience for this role. The Internal Audit team is a high-performing group delivering internal audit services and support to business leaders across the organization. This fully remote position is open to candidates anywhere in the United States and focuses on addressing areas for continuous improvement, providing independent and objective assurance, and offering advisory services to enhance business operations.

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong professional ethics, is a self-starter who works independently to meet or exceed deadlines, manages multiple projects, and possesses strong communication skills.

Responsibilities Include:

• Review financial processes, test key controls to ensure the client’s Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) is effective, and assist in audit planning and execution across various business processes.
• Collaborate with management and external auditors to ensure robust internal controls, understand the business, execute audit programs, and perform detailed testing and analysis.
• Document control effectiveness, facilitate meetings with Accounting and Operations to discuss and improve processes, and build trusted relationships while maintaining high ethical standards.
• Contribute to special projects and participate in corrective action planning and issue remediation.

Do You Have:

• Knowledge of business processes, key controls, and the implications of process dependencies.
• Experience working with various technology platforms.
• A professional certification such as CPA or CIA is preferred but not required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities, work independently or in small teams, achieve established goals and objectives, and communicate progress effectively.
• 1+ year of experience in Internal or External Audit - Big 4.
• Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills.
