Intern, Social Media Strategy - Remote Internship Opportunity!

The internship is remote, 20 hours/week with flexible weekly schedule during business hours Monday-Friday.

Objectives

During This Internship, You Will

  • Gain experience conducting data-driven research to identify relevant niches for social media engagement.
  • Develop and implement a content strategy to engage and grow online communities.
  • Acquire skills in creating and managing social media ads to boost group membership.
  • Collaborate with different teams to promote social media initiatives and support content creation.
  • Develop a social media strategy with SMART goals and use analytics to track and measure success.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct data-driven research to identify relevant niches for the new Facebook group.
  • Create a new Facebook group based on the identified niche and develop a strategy for its growth.
  • Develop and implement a content strategy for the Facebook group to engage and grow the community.
  • Create and manage Facebook ads to boost group membership.
  • Work with the email team to promote the group to our mailing list.
  • Collaborate with the blog team to create relevant content for the new audience.
  • Develop a social media strategy with SMART goals (e.g., leads, engagement) and use analytics to track and measure success.
  • Monitor group performance and engagement and report on relevant metrics to the social media team.
  • Make data-driven adjustments to social media strategies as needed.

Required Education, Experience, And Competencies

  • Junior or Senior at an accredited college or university.
  • Majoring in data science, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Familiar with social media platform analytics tools, particularly Meta Insights.
  • Proactive in learning new tools and skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized and capable of managing a diverse workload efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in content creation, graphic design, and/or video editing is a plus.

Internship details...

This internship runs 16 consecutive weeks during the summer between August 2024 and December 2024, subject to the student’s schedule. The internship is remote, 20 hours/week with flexible weekly schedule during business hours. A flat stipend of $3,840.00 is paid for this internship. The stipend is paid at 50% halfway through the internship and the other 50% after successful completion of the internship. College credit where applicable.
