Department Overview

The Parts Business is a core profitability and customer satisfaction driver for Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) and its network of dealers. Producing revenue in the hundreds of millions of dollars each year, Parts Business keeps Porsche drivers on the road through the supply of Genuine Parts to authorized Porsche Centers, who subsequently supply independent repair facilities, and collision shops. Porsche Center efficiency, enabled in part by speedy and efficient support and communication by PCNA, are critical components to this mission.

Roles & Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities:

During this internship you are responsible for developing and implementing strategic concepts and projects which help the parts business team set and achieve objectives.

  • Primary activities around modernizing system and process, setting foundation for future efficiency and sustainable growth. This includes collaboration across multiple business units within PCNA business and logistics organizations, and PAG teams.
  • Develop and execute multiple projects and initiatives.
    • Examples include:
      • Reporting modernization and automation.
      • Objective setting optimization and automation (Internal and dealer)
      • Active participation in ongoing team project execution priorities
        • Assist project manager to ensure planning documents are up to date ahead of team tasks due and future projects are outlined.

  • Minimum Junior or Senior in undergraduate studies.

Skills

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strategic and Continuous improvement mindset
  • Must be organized, positive, proactive, results-oriented, with excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understands and incorporates project methodology.
  • Experience working with large scale data to build the reporting solutions.
  • Assist in the demonstration through proof of concepts and present them to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple groups on multiple levels.
  • Work with internal teams to understand the business requirements translate them to technical design and requirements and build scalable and sustainable reporting solutions, with transition to automation in mind.

  • No travel required.

Schedule/Shift

  • must be able to commute to One Porsche Drive on weekdays.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
  • Periodic interface and work in warehouse environment
