We are currently seeking talent for an Engineering Intern for our manufacturing facility in Portland, OR. This role will develop, evaluate, and improve the manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, chemicals, and production equipment capabilities. The Engineering Intern will work closely with automation, engineering and safety functions to ensure all aspects of change management are executed, and maintain all quality control standards.
This position is for a 3 month paid internship.
Pay - $22/hr
What You’ll Do
The Engineering Intern will work hand-in-hand with the on-site Process Engineer to improve efficiency of the plant and optimize manufacturing processes while maintaining quality control standards
Gain hand-on experience in a PSM regulated facility and ensuring accordance with PSM standards
Provide technical assistance to improve process control and reduce variation.
Carry out process improvement/optimization work including planning and supervising in-mill production trials. Determine areas requiring process improvements and coordinate efforts for achievement

To Be Successful, You Will Need
Pursuing a B.S. in Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
High initiative and ability to remain productive without close supervision
Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication
Ability to remain flexible and shift priorities depending on the day's needs
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
