Gerdau’s North American business divisions manufacture long and special steel products for the agriculture, energy, industrial, automotive, and manufacturing markets. We stimulate the economy through our network of recycling operations and mills, operating ten mills in the U.S. and three in Canada. Our mills utilize efficient and clean production practices, including the use of electric arc furnace (EAF) technology. This makes our steel one of the greenest choices available.
Position Overview
An Intern with Gerdau must have an eagerness to grow personally and professionally, being a part of a global company with more than 120 years of entrepreneurship and achievements in the steel industry. This program is for individuals with high learning agility and willingness to adapt and develop continuously, who aim at consistently outperforming in a variety of settings and circumstances. During the program you will interact with team members from around the world. You will have the opportunity to learn on the job and work on ambitious projects that will further your development.
The Learning and Development Intern will be given the opportunity to learn and experience firsthand all aspects of training and development for a global company. You will work collaboratively with the entire team to help develop our employees.
Job Functions
Assist with the creation of training items, curriculum, and updates in our Learning Management System (Success Factors).
Assist with actions to drive LMS (Learning Management System) adoption
Assist with the creation of a variety of training modules and eLearning modules utilizing our tool Easy Generator and coordinating with outside vendors
Assist with the coordination of activities for our Development Programs
Assist with Managing Instructor Led Training
Within the LMS (Creating of Classes, Instructors, Registrations, etc)
Outside the LMS (Vendors, Facility Reservation, Meals, equipment, etc)
Training Calander and Other communications
Co-Manage the Training and Development Inbox
Requirements
Have completed at least two years of a college degree from a recognized accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology, Communications, or other related degrees
