Interior Design Project Renderer

Job Description

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree from a professional Interior Design, Graphic Design, Interior Architecture institution, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and 3D rendering software (ex. Sketchup, 3ds Max, and/or D5).
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Desired

  • 3-5+ years of rendering experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge in the following:
    • Production and enhancement of photorealistic renderings.
    • Interior architectural details as it pertains to both residential and commercial projects.
    • Custom cabinetry and millwork details.
    • Kitchen and Bath design standards.
    • Artificial lighting, daylighting, and photo composition.
    • Basic interior furnishings, finishes, materials and terminology.
Your Role

As an Interior Design Project Renderer at Kimmel Studio you will have the opportunity to work in an award winning, multi-disciplinary firm in Annapolis, MD. You will produce photorealistic renderings for both client facing and marketing deliverables for high-end residential and commercial interiors.

You will be assisting in visualization for both the schematic and design development phases of a project. Your experience and strong understanding of interior design and interior architectural elements will be essential to implement design directives in the conceptual images. We are looking for someone with an ambitious, creative spirit, that’s eager to take on challenges and wishes to grow alongside our fast-growing team.

A Day in the Life

Tasks

  • Works alongside the interior design team during the schematic and design development phases.
  • Uses the drawings and specifications provided by the interior design team to create digital models and photo-realistic renderings.
  • Updates models and enhances renderings as needed based on comments received from internal reviews.
  • Provides additional renderings as needed for marketing projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to project timelines, and Kimmel standards.

Communication

  • Able to present the renderings in a way that best captures the design intent.
  • Communicates in a clear, concise and professional manner both written and verbally.

Job Requirements

  • Physical Requirements: The position requires the ability to drive a car, operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, scanner, and printer. The position also requires the ability to travel to and from the office, as well as to meet with clients and colleagues outside of the office.
  • Work Environment: The position is located in our Annapolis office and requires the employee to be physically present at the office to perform the essential functions of the job. These functions include face-to-face interaction and coordination of work with other employees, in-person interaction with outside colleagues, clients, or customers, and immediate access to software and documents or other information located only in the office.
