Interim Compliance Specialist, FinTech

Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for an Interim Compliance Specialist, FinTech (100% Remote, National) part-time (20 hours) for 3-6+ months.

Overview: This is a contract position that will operate within our client’s Legal department performing support operations to internal risk management teams. This role’s primary responsibilities will be focused on leading project management activities for policy governance. This includes system administrative operations, document maintenance, identification and mapping of regulatory requirements, and cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders for policy writing, reviews, and approvals.

Experience:

• 3-5+ years experience in FinTech, legal, risk, security and/or compliance.
• 3+ years working with a company in FinTech, regulated technology, software, or financial services sector.
• 3+ years experience with project management.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Location: 100% Remote, National Search

Responsibilities Include:

• Lead, maintain, and support policy management program activities for the Operational Risk Management team.
• Perform system administrative responsibilities including the design, implementation, and management of a policy governance application.
• Assist in policy documentation development, updates, and reviews.
• Maintain project plan that establishes roadmap, KPIs, deliverables, and milestones.
• Conduct routine communication with stakeholders to gather, track, and assess compliance and risk information.
• Support the reduction of our client’s risk posture through application of policy adherence, training, attestations, and ongoing maintenance.
• Produce recurring reports that identify key success factors of operations and potential gaps where risks to program effectiveness may develop.
• Provide support upon request to Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function that may include research, program design, and project development.
• Meet work standards by monitoring production, productivity, and identifying work process improvements.

• Paralegal Certificate and/or associate degree or bachelor’s degree

$40-$50 per hour
