Intercompany Accountant- Remote

Intercompany Accountant Contractor will be a part of Varian Northern America Accounting team, supporting Varian’s intercompany function mainly for Oncology Systems and Corporate, North America region. The position reports to Accounts Operations manager located in the United States.

Responsibilities

In this role, the accountant will participate in a wide range of intercompany and general accounting activities from day-to-day accounting to month-end close related responsibilities. This position’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Process weekly Debit Runs/FinPay and clear open items as needed;
• Prepare Outgoing Intercompany ITAs;
• Reconcile intercompany balances and perform reclassifications at month end if needed;
• Issue system generated I/C invoices and manual adjustments as required;
• Perform Revaluation of Foreign Currency transactions;
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations;
• Assist with ICC Project.
• Assist with system implementations and perform user acceptance training;
• Prepare ad hoc financial analysis and reports. Support as needed with special projects.
  
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting and 2+ years of Intercompany or General ledger accounting experience is required.
• Hands on experience with SAP or equivalent ERP accounting software is required.
• Good understanding of intercompany business process flow is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills, fluent written and spoken English is required.
• Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Highly detail-oriented with excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills with ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
• Wiliness to periodically work under flexible schedule and travel domestically or internationally, as required to achieve work objectives and deadlines.
