Summary
The stipend for the advisor will be $800 for year 1, which includes twice monthly meetings with students from March until the end of the 22-23 school year and one or two planning meetings with the BCH team.
Districts must designate an advisor for the I-YAB. The IYAB advisor will work with Dr. Kathlyn Elliott (kathlyn.elliott@childrens.harvard.edu) and her team to help implement the initial lessons for the students (outlined below), and help guide the Youth Participatory Action Research in year two.

Expectations For The Advisor
Assistance in tailoring the curriculum and lessons for their district
Help finding regular meeting space and regular meeting time (twice monthly)
Attendance at IYAB meetings with students
Help with tailoring the Community Awareness Briefing for their school
Assistance with projects or events that students want to organize in Year 2
Willingness to ask for help when needed
Comfort letting students initiate ideas and playing a supporting role in the execution
Qualifications
Bachelors degree
Successful completion of Criminal Records Check (CORI), and fingerprints
While performing duties of this job, the employee may often remain in a stationary position for considerable periods of time. The employee will have ample periods of standing and may be required to traverse throughout the building. The employee must frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and use hand strength to grasp tools. Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e., calculator, copy machine, and computer printer). Physical abilities may also include lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling, stooping/crouching, reaching/handling, talking/hearing conversations, and near/far visual acuity/depth perception/color vision/field. Ability must be able to lift and/or push and pull 15 to 20lbs for short periods, and walk up and down stairs several times a day. The employee must be able to communicate effectively with students, staff members, and the public in person and on the telephone.
