Nexus Talent Connect Seeks a Talented Intellectual Property Attorney or Patent Agent in Charlotte!

As an attorney or patent agent in our Intellectual Property & Technology Service Line, you will engage in sophisticated and challenging IP work for clients across the Carolinas and the nation. Our ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in electrical or computer engineering, or computer science
• Registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
• 2+ years’ experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications
• 2+ years’ experience in intellectual property litigation (attorney position only); Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school (attorney position only)
• Admitted to practice law in one or more states, and willing to become barred in North Carolina (attorney position only)
• Strong technological skills, including proficiency with practice management systems and portals
• Superior research skills, including the use of online services and databases
• Project management skills, including the ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
