Location: Hybrid
Shift: Mon - Fri 9am-5pm with rotating on call
Description of Role:
As a Business Analyst and Integration Specialist, you are responsible for analyzing, testing, and recommending adjustments to support our proprietary software platform, in addition to providing EDI systems support.
Supporting Proprietary Software:
- Collaborate with software engineers to address ongoing regulatory changes.
- Test changes to ensure they don’t negatively impact the client experience.
- Monitor fatal errors and enhance software validations.
- Monitor for outages to minimize downtime.
- Assist in development and migration efforts of customer single sign-on experience.
- Train users.
- Integrate customers and perform quality control of a third-party software program:
- Integrated customer setup and maintenance.
- Assist with testing and implementation of new software components (e.g., document manager, notification manager, customs management versions).
- Thoroughly test system updates before moving into a production environment.
EDI Systems Support:
- Accommodation of multiple time zones and off-hours support.
- Collaborate with customers and their IT professionals to develop and implement EDI solutions.
- Provide daily support for EDI solutions (including ShipCheck, XLS, XML).
- Address technical questions.
- Improve EDI fatal validations and educate clients for faster processing.
- Generally, increase throughput by driving automation and compliant hands-free transactions:
- Develop compliant and efficient solutions to increase Entries Per Worked Hour (EPWH).

Knowledge and Educational Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years Customs Brokerage or systems integrations experience is required.
- U.S. Customs Brokers License is preferred. A developmental plan to successfully challenge the Customs Broker Licensing Exam will be created for an unlicensed individual.
- NCBFAA Certified Customs Specialist is an asset.
- Experience in customs consulting, regulatory or similar professional services is an asset.
- Working knowledge of Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) and Participating Government Agencies (PGA) import requirements is an asset.
