Description of Role:
As a Business Analyst and Integration Specialist, you are responsible for analyzing, testing, and recommending adjustments to support our proprietary software platform, in addition to providing EDI systems support.
Supporting Proprietary Software:
Collaborate with software engineers to address ongoing regulatory changes.
Test changes to ensure they don’t negatively impact the client experience.
Monitor fatal errors and enhance software validations.
Monitor for outages to minimize downtime.
Assist in development and migration efforts of customer single sign-on experience.
Train users.
Integrate customers and perform quality control of a third-party software program:
Integrated customer setup and maintenance.
Assist with testing and implementation of new software components (e.g., document manager, notification manager, customs management versions).
Thoroughly test system updates before moving into a production environment.
EDI Systems Support:
Accommodation of multiple time zones and off-hours support.
Collaborate with customers and their IT professionals to develop and implement EDI solutions.
Provide daily support for EDI solutions (including ShipCheck, XLS, XML).
Address technical questions.
Improve EDI fatal validations and educate clients for faster processing.
Generally, increase throughput by driving automation and compliant hands-free transactions:
Develop compliant and efficient solutions to increase Entries Per Worked Hour (EPWH).

Knowledge and Educational Requirements
Minimum five (5) years Customs Brokerage or systems integrations experience is required.
U.S. Customs Brokers License is preferred. A developmental plan to successfully challenge the Customs Broker Licensing Exam will be created for an unlicensed individual.
NCBFAA Certified Customs Specialist is an asset.
Experience in customs consulting, regulatory or similar professional services is an asset.
Working knowledge of Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) and Participating Government Agencies (PGA) import requirements is an asset.
