Hinds Hospice, one of the most well-known and well-respected nonprofit agencies in California’s Central Valley and a pioneer in the practice of hospice and palliative care, is seeking an Intake Coordinator, Patient Access to join our team.
As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the Intake Coordinator, under the direction of the Intake Clinical Supervisor, is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the patient intake process, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and referral sources, responding to customer requests and concerns, and initiates the insurance verification and authorization processes.

Compensation $23 hourly

Qualifications Include But Are Not Limited To
Demonstrated ability to work with health team personnel
Knowledge of medical terminology and medications with the ability to assimilate the organization’s policies
One years’ experience in acute care facility or community health agency, prefer one-year hospice experience
Must have a valid CA drivers license and a willingness to use personal vehicle in the course of employment
Must show proof of automobile insurance, proof of current auto registration and acceptable driving record (no more than 3 points within a 36-month period)
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (i.e., Push, Pull, Lift/Carry 35 lbs)
Proficiency in word processing and software programs
