Job Description
As a Level 1 Instructional Designer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing effective instructional materials for our higher education courses. Working closely with faculty and subject matter experts, you'll craft online courses that captivate learners and enhance their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with course developers and subject matter experts to identify learning objectives, instructional strategies, and assessment methods.
Design and develop online courses and learning resources, incorporating multimedia elements and interactive activities to promote engagement.
Ensure courses adhere to established design standards, fostering consistency and quality across all educational materials.
Work collaboratively with various teams, including Instructional Technologists, video production specialists, and editing staff, to deliver exceptional learning experiences.
Foster productive relationships with other campus departments, such as Information Technology and Academic Leadership, to support cross-functional initiatives.
Utilize communication tools and technologies to facilitate seamless collaboration within the online learning environment.
Apply best practices in instructional design, leveraging technology and innovative approaches to optimize learning outcomes.
Qualifications And Credentials
Bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology, or related field preferred.
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In Instructional Design.
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in instructional design principles, methodologies, and practices, including adult learning theory and learning management systems.
Familiarity with multimedia tools for digital content creation is a plus.
Desired proficiency in Office Suite and experience with Learning Management Systems and educational technologies.
