Your Mission:


In this role, you will be responsible for designing world-class, highly engaging training materials for colleagues at all levels using multiple delivery methods (e.g. Instructor Led Training, webinars, workshops, video, audio, E-Learning, etc.). The Instructional Designer applies sound instructional design theory and methods to transform research regarding performance gaps into value-added, highly effective training and learning solutions. The Instructional Designer will determine objectives, research and write learner centered content in scripts and storyboards and also design instructional activities, author E-Learning courses, produce training materials and videos utilized by Little Caesars, Blue Line and corporate colleagues.


How You’ll Make an Impact:


  • Responsible for complete training process from a need’s assessment and analysis through observation, feedback and evaluation.
  • Work with subject matter experts and learners to document processes, identify training needs and gaps and then build quality, measurable, learning objectives to describe identified needs.
  • Design new and modify existing training materials and courses to meet the needs of the company and add them to the existing overall training departments portfolio.
  • Create and arrange training manuals and visual aids after determining the best avenue for offering training on a subject.
  • Develop and retain up-to-date knowledge of current working practices by periodically spending time working with operational and support departments.
  • Provide accurate and detailed reports on project status and training results.
  • Gather customer feedback and act as needed to improve customer adoption and usage.
  • Research, collect, curate and write instructional content, course outlines, scripts and storyboards.
  • Research and identify delivery approaches, training methodologies, and technologies that are appropriate for the audience.
  • Design high-impact, criterion-based learning experiences to improve team member performance that is reflected in business results.
  • Develop training materials to optimize the use of technology and ensure appropriate delivery methods for adult learners.
  • Create facilitator guides, participant materials, videos, webinars, audio scripts and other instructional performance support materials.
  • Work with the National Training creative team to develop print, video and web-based training materials including e-learning and digital documents.
  • Manage multiple projects, complete tasks and deliver results on time and within budget.


Who You Are:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, training and development, communications or related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in training and development.
  • Evidence of strong interpersonal, relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Evidence of excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and classroom instruction skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • The ability to be innovative in the methods of which training courses are designed and instructed (i.e. multi-media approach, webinars, etc.) and the ability to create a method to document training initiatives.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to research and apply culturally suited training programs for the international markets.
  • Awareness of adult learning processes.
  • Ability to review all operational and training materials for accurate translation ensuring procedures and classes are communicated in a professional way and reflect the Little Caesars culture.


Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Master’s degree in instructional design, instructional technology, training and development or equivalent.
  • Restaurant training and/or operations experience.
