Primary Purpose
Education/Certification:
- Assist in developing and implementing curriculum and instruction for adult basic education and Career Pathways model for AEFLA Section 243 (IELCE) programs.
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited university
- Certificate or license in appropriate field preferred
- Ability to create and edit digital documents
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
- Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and
- A minimum of one year experience in administration
- A minimum of three years area specific experience
- Assist in creating lesson plans and course syllabi for adult basic education and Career Pathways that align with the Texas Adult Education Content Standards.
- Ensuring that the curricula meet basic requirement of the Texas Workforce Commission guidelines.
- Assess the effectiveness of the curriculum and instruction and adjusting as necessary to improve student outcomes.
- Managing educational resource and materials to ensure they are up-to-date and relevant to the learner’s needs.
- Providing one-on-one mentorship and coaching to help teachers develop their instructional skills, particularly in areas like integrating technology into the classroom.
- Helping to facilitate ongoing professional development workshops and training sessions that focus on pedagogical strategies, classroom management, and content delivery tailored to adult learners.
- Assisting teachers in leveraging digital tools and platforms to customize learning. experiences and meet the varied needs of adult learners.
- Assisting in Implementing teacher induction programs that help new educators transition into the field and understand the specific needs of adult education students Provide supervision and guidance to appropriate support
- Provide support in the registration and placement of students in classes as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
