Inspector General with Security Clearance

Duties * Investigate complaints to creates reports of findings in order to coordinate with staffs/agencies. * Develop inspection plans to address the question to be answered in order to gather facts. * Prepare formal report of findings citing specific examples to violations, errors and unsound practices in each case * Identify all issues and specific actions needed to correct injustices and eliminate detrimental conditions to protect the best interest of the organization. * Determine root cause of systemic problems to delegate problems to appropriate agencies for corrective actions, and prepares written reports of findings. * Develop recommendations as to the required corrective action or revision in methods and procedures. * Serve as Assistant Inspector General (IG) responsible for conducting assistance inquiries, investigations, and inspections. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. * Must attend and successfully complete the IG Course. * This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 50% of the time. * Term employment is subject to a one year trial period.
