The social worker/therapist is primarily responsible for conducting intakes and assessments for new admissions. If deemed there is a psychiatric need, they will help transition the patient to the behavioral health unit for further assessments and treatment. They will keep informed of important changes and issues which affect the population served including attending trainings and treatment team meetings. The social worker/therapist will educate patients and families on signs and symptoms of illness to prevent re-hospitalization and improve disease management skills. They will work with kindness and accountability to enhance the quality of life for our patients.

Requirements
A Master’s or Bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited university with focus in social work or other counseling related fields required
Licensure: License in Social Work or Counseling as recognized by the state of practice required
