Overview
At Lavazza North America, the Innovation and Portfolio Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the portfolio and new product development for Home Channel for the US and Canada. This individual will oversee new products from inception to business case, to progress monitoring throughout development, to the building of selling stories and launch toolkit for the sales team. This individual will not only work directly with the Category Manager but support the full channel team in administrative needs. Additionally, they will work across many departments to facilitate communication and deliver company objectives related to NPDs and portfolio.
Responsibilities
Assess market trends for all Retail & eComm Channel and identify opportunities related to new product launches and related launch plans.
Set up business cases for new product development at the business unit level, respecting local value chain constrains and keeping the right level of portfolio marginality.
Together with the Category Manager, build selling stories related to new launches in North America, supporting local sales team and distributors in negotiation with their customers.
Work with the full channel team and manage administrative needs of the channel; this includes but is not limited to ensuring vendors are set up correct, processing of purchase orders and invoices, assisting in asset briefing, creation and management.
Professional Qualifications
Four year degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience
2+ years marketing coordination, trade marketing/shopper marketing or portfolio analyst experience
Strong communication skills
Strong proficiency in PPT, Excel
Self-starter, able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
PHYSICAL/TRAVEL REWUIREMENTS
Ability to travel as needed up to 10% of time
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
