We are looking for an Information Technology Specialist to oversee and manage the company’s technology infrastructure. This position is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving the technology systems, ensuring seamless operations and enhanced efficiency across all locations. The IT specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Human Resources, to understand enterprise-wide technology needs and develop innovative solutions that align with the business goals.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2 technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment, including POS systems, desktops, laptops, printers, and networking devices.
  • Conduct regular technology audits to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for upgrades or replacements.
  • Support IT infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
  • Maintain documentation of IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues. Install and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect company systems and data.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their technology needs and provide recommendations for improvements and enhancements.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to restaurant and corporate staff, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts, hardware systems, software applications, and cybersecurity protocols.
  • Proficiency in system administration, network configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, online ordering platforms, and other restaurant-specific technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and provide technical support to non-technical staff.
  • Strong project management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • A customer-focused mindset, with the ability to understand and address technology needs from both a business and operational perspective.
  • Required to be onsite at our office in Tampa Monday through Friday.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Information Technology Specialist or similar role, preferably within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Proven experience in new system implementation and conversion preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
