IT SPECIALIST
*In-office, downtown Houston*
Our client is a dynamic and innovative renewables services company committed to providing top-notch solutions to our clients. They are seeking a skilled IT Specialist to join their team and support their growing technological needs.
**Job Summary:**
The IT Specialist will be responsible for providing comprehensive IT support to our team, ensuring the smooth operation of both Windows and Mac systems, and managing various applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, ideally with experience in web-based productivity tools and work force management tools such as Monday.com, Smartsheet, and Airtable.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide technical support for both Windows and Mac operating systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Manage and support various applications and software used by the company, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning correctly.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, networks, and peripheral devices.
- Offer timely and effective resolution to IT-related issues and queries raised by team members.
- Implement and manage web-based productivity tools and work force management tools, including Monday.com, Smartsheet, and Airtable.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to develop and implement IT policies and best practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT procedures, system configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Provide training and support to employees on the use of IT systems and software applications.
- Stay current with technological trends and advancements to ensure the company is leveraging the best possible tools and practices.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in providing IT support for both Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of web-based productivity tools and work force management tools such as Monday.com, Smartsheet, and Airtable.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Certification in IT-related fields (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) is a plus.
- Experience with network administration and support is a plus.
