Akkodis is seeking an IT Project/Program Manager for a contract opportunity with a client located in in Brentwood, CA .


JOB TITLE: IT Project/Program Manager

EMPLOYMENT TYPE/DURATION: 4—12 weeks

COMPENSATION: $60 -$80+/hour

LOCATION DETAILS: Remote but prefer someone local that can come into the Brentwood office from time to time.


  • Task /Project Organization and Prioritization: Work with internal resources to break down a project into manageable tasks, prioritizing them based on impact and resource availability, and scheduling them in a logical sequence.
  • Resource Planning: Assessing the resources (time & personnel) required to complete a project and allocating them efficiently. For Yardi and IT Project roadmaps, this involves estimating how many developers, IT specialists, and other resources are needed to complete each phase and ensuring the resources are available when needed.
  • Senior IT Program Manager to manage and lead the company's IT initiatives to success. This role involves leading complex IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of project management methodologies, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing medium to large-scale IT projects.


Responsibilities:

  • Work with management on identifying, strategizing, and prioritizing projects, ensuring they align with business goals and objectives.
  • Lead and oversee all phases of IT project management, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Coordinate and manage project teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Monitor project progress, adjusting schedules and resources as needed.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial accountability.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Maintain timely, clear, and effective communication with stakeholders, including regular project updates.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations and report on outcomes.
  • Miscellaneous projects as assigned.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Having at least 2-3 years of practical experience with Real Estate financial and/or operational business knowledge is highly advantageous.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 certification, or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and/or Sr. Project Manager certifications from the American Society for the Advancement of Project Management, preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead effectively, ensuring team members remain focused and on track.
  • Skilled in enforcing accountability, swiftly tackling emergency issues, and adept at resolving conflicts when they occur.
  • Required proficiency in project management tools and technologies, including MS Project or MS Planner, Teams, and/or comparable software solutions.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities to determine the most effective and feasible solutions that align with business objectives. Sharp focus on details while also grasping the broader strategic goals.
  • Clear, straightforward, and efficient communication abilities; adept at engaging with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in presentation skills and capable of expressing ideas in both technical and easily understandable language.
