As Relyance AI’s IT Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring that computing systems and equipment are operating effectively and efficiently, and will manage, in conjunction with Engineering, the security and compliance of Relyance AI systems and processes. You will monitor and analyze our current systems and assets, recommend and implement solutions and upgrades, and provide training. You will also ensure that all systems and processes adhere to SOC 2 Type 2 and HIPAA controls and assist with compliance and security initiatives as needed throughout the organization.


As an IT Operations Manager, your role will include:

  • Provide daily systems maintenance of essential IT operations and troubleshooting, as well as support to the entire IT infrastructure, including security tools, applications, servers, internet connectivity, email systems, laptops, software, and hardware.
  • Ensure timely, automated, and smooth onboarding and offboarding of personnel.
  • Manage identity and access management systems and their associated security and compliance controls.
  • Integrate and automate various systems to facilitate smooth implementation and auditing of IAM and device management systems and practices.
  • Track and maintain inventory of hardware and manage software updates and licenses.
  • Establish, maintain, and update appropriate controls and processes to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and security best practices.
  • Monitor and manage security tooling, including antivirus, intrusion detection, vulnerability scanning, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Legal, Privacy, Engineering and Security teams to manage risks and incidents as needed.
  • Monitor IT performance and security in all company sites and locations.
  • Provide training and mentorship to incoming team members.
  • Research, evaluate, and make recommendations on emerging technologies, hardware, and software for future planning and potential implementation.
  • Analyze department needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency, and accuracy to inform business decisions.
  • Ensure network and computing components, along with other systems, meet needs and work together seamlessly, using the full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features and competitive solutions.
  • Continuously analyze current processes, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of improvement.
  • Prepare cost benefits analysis reports when upgrades are necessary, continuously analyzing vendors to ensure they offer the best possible service and value for company needs.
  • Train employees on both software and hardware, and provide technical support when needed.
  • Evaluate technology risks in order to maintain and improve Relyance AI’s disaster recovery plans and backup procedures.
  • Continually improve Relyance AI’s security and risk management postures, implementing tooling and policies directly or managing projects cross-functionally with technical leadership and teams across the company.
  • Coordinate with finance to manage vendor procurement processes including contract negotiations and security and risk assessments.
  • Lead security assessment responses for prospects evaluating Relyance AI’s software for purchase.

This role could be a fit for you if you bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in managing, scaling, and automating IT infrastructure including MDM, SSO, DLP, ZTNA, and public cloud IAM systems (GCP is a plus), preferably at a fast-paced high-growth company.
  • Technical certifications across IT Operations domain (e.g. ITIL, CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, Security+) a plus.
  • Knowledge of programming and scripting languages and operating systems, current equipment and technologies, and system performance and security monitoring.
  • Expertise in implementing, configuring, testing, and automating solutions.
  • Experience managing SOC 2 Type 2
  • Extensive project management experience (SCRUM a plus) and process-driven organizational skills.

We use data-driven pay practices with the goal of ensuring offerings are competitive to the market and our team members are being compensated correctly based on their roles, experience, and location. As such, the base salary pay range for this role is $130,000 to $150,000.
