Information Technology Manager

We are seeking to hire a full-time Head of Technology. This position will be fully onsite initially, transitioning to a hybrid model after a couple of months. The candidate must be willing to travel to NYC for a few days each month and should have prior experience in the banking sector.

Job Summary: The Head of Technology is a pivotal role responsible for managing both technical and managerial functions within the Bank's IT Department for the New York and Washington, D.C. branches. This position involves strategic planning, direction, and oversight of the IT team and infrastructure, requiring collaboration with various departments and reporting directly to the COO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the IT team and manage technology vendors, including those responsible for applications, security, helpdesk, and system administration.
• Collaborate closely with the region’s CISO to ensure IT environments are secure and compliant with Part 500 regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement strategies for the bank’s Information Technology within the approved budget.
• Oversee and manage technology infrastructure and architecture.
• Implement controls to comply with the bank’s policies, procedures, and relevant government and banking regulations.
• Coordinate with various departments to resolve program issues and implement special projects.
• Assist in planning and organizing IT Operations Committee (ITOC) meetings.
• Communicate challenges related to goals and objectives to the ITOC and senior management.
• Maintain coordination with the Information Security Department, IT Security Team, and Cyber Security to ensure a secure and efficient IT infrastructure.
• Administer and manage technology products, systems, and infrastructure.

Technical Responsibilities:

• Configure, administer, manage, and monitor core network components (Fortinet Firewalls, FortiAnalyzer, Dell MC Switches), Dell EMC storage and hosts, VMware virtual environment, Dell IDPA, endpoint security systems, CCure system, and Microsoft 365 Enterprise.
• Ensure network health and security for LAN and WAN across all branches and data centers (New York, Washington DC, Virginia).
• Manage all IT equipment, including peripherals.
• Administer and maintain Active Directory, DNS, OU, GPO, Access, Permissions, AD Connect, Azure AD, and Intune.
• Provide technical support through the service desk and handle user onboarding/offboarding.
• Generate and distribute IT-related reports.
• Ensure compliance with software and hardware licensing.
• Assess and determine the bank's software/hardware needs.
• Ensure compatibility, functionality, updating, and maintenance of all vendor systems and software.
• Verify systems to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Perform end-of-day processing for the E-GIFTS payment and messaging system.
• Maintain the VOIP telephone system.
• Prepare purchase requests for IT-related software, hardware, licensing, subscriptions, warranties, and support, and present them to the Procurement Committee for approval.
• Report on the health status and capacity metrics of core network and infrastructure systems.
• Keep track of new products in the market and provide feedback to the IT Department and ITOC.
• Implement hardening controls and configurations.
• Update and maintain domains and DNS.
