The Objective of the Position

The Information Technology “(IT)” Manager is responsible for coordinating, planning, and leading

computer-related activities. The IT Manager determines the IT needs of the company and is responsible for implementing and maintaining the company’s computing needs. The IT Manager will demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the industry’s best practices and evidence a professional track record of effective technical management, information analysis, and a thorough understanding of computer hardware and software systems particularly Microsoft 365 and other Microsoft products.


Responsibilities

  • Manage information technology and computer systems.
  • Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
  • Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine productivity levels and make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure.
  • Audit systems and assess their outcomes, including generating performance reports for operating systems.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT.
  • Selecting for purchase new and replacement hardware and software when necessary.
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
  • Evaluating technology risks in order to develop a network disaster recovery plan and backup procedures.
  • Coordinating technology installations, upgrades and maintenance.
  • Manage IT staff by training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and monitoring their performance.
  • Overseeing the annual IT budget and ensuring cost effectiveness.
  • Communicate IT department KPIs, goals and strategies regularly with upper management and
  • stakeholders.
  • Manage integrations between Microsoft products (365) and other software solutions being considered for Sales, Finance and Operations.


Requirements

  • Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems.
  • MUST have strong Microsoft platform experience (running on Microsoft 365).
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
  • Management and leadership skills.


Education/Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience working in IT operations.
  • 2-3 years of management experience
