Information Security Officer

*MUST BE BASED IN THE NYC METRO AREA*

This position is Hybrid 3-days on-site per week in Manhattan

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain information security policies, standards, and procedures in line with ISO 27001 and NIST Framework.
• Conduct regular security risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and areas of improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure information security is integrated into all aspects of our organization.
• Provide expertise and guidance on information security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Assist in incident response activities and lead investigations when security incidents occur.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
• Manage and maintain security awareness training programs for employees.
• Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
• Create and maintain documentation related to information security policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Industry certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM are highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology, with a focus on information security.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO 27001 and NIST Framework.
• Strong understanding of information security principles and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
