Information Security Analyst

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Information Security Analyst to join our team in supporting the information systems security administration and engineering efforts in a multi-platform environment for the client. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting complex system security issues, recommending, designing, developing, testing, configuring, and implementing a broad array of system security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot complex system security issues across multiple platforms.
• Recommend, design, develop, test, configure, and implement system security solutions to protect against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction.
• Collaborate with other IT Operational Service Areas (Server/Storage, Network, Help Desk, Application Development) in the design, development, and testing of system security solutions.
• Act as an escalation resource for other IT Operational Service Areas in the diagnosis, resolution, and remediation of information security issues.
• Draft and maintain technical design and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents related to system security.
• Document all work performed in client issue tracking systems.
• Provide analysis and reports from various security and systems management tools used client.
• Provide systems administration and engineering support for client security tools.
• Serve as a technical liaison for client, and other security personnel, auditors, or technical assessors.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong understanding of internet architecture, firewall configuration, and system security best practices.
• Experience with implementing IT security policies, procedures, and standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are preferred.
• Experience working in a government or healthcare environment is a plus.
  
  

Compensation And Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $89,600 to $126,650 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
