- As part of the Global Investment Data Team, this is a critical role to define how Mercer matures in its data management processes as we embark on a global transformation program.
- Be responsible for developing and implementing an information architecture approach that supports our data strategy.
- We are looking for an individual who is deeply knowledgeable in data and information architecture and can help implement solutions in a way that is not overly process heavy.

- As the Mercer Wealth Investment Information Architect, you will lead the development of best practices for building solutions that promote effective data management. You will establish processes to ensure the quality, completeness, timeliness, and ownership of data challenges are met.
- Your role will involve developing an information blueprint that implements a single-source of truth and authoritative sources of data principles. You will also ensure that all projects align with this vision.
- In line with Mercer's transformative journey, we are rolling out the next generation of data platforms to establish ourselves as a leading competitor in the Investment Assets Management Industry. As part of this effort, you will collaborate with regional Investment Data Solutions leaders to design solutions and make sure that they address all data management principles.
- You will also help implement a Data Product approach to improve the accessibility and usability of data across the firm.
- Your contributions to developing these solutions will drive the growth and transformation of our organization, enabling us to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with teams across different regions and make a significant impact on Mercer's global operations.
- You will develop target data architecture for the firm outlining critical functions and the flow of information to support those functions
- Proven experience in architecting and implementing Business Intelligence and Data repository platforms, Master Data Management, and data integration solutions.
- Proven background in Investment Data Management Domain that includes exposure to building master data applications such as Security Master, and building out Book of Records such as Account and Investment Book of Records (ABOR/IBOR)
- Experience in modern data platforms to support both descriptive and predictive data analysis capabilities across the firm.
- Experience in working closely with technology teams in implementing both relational and non-relational data platforms.
- Functional understanding of data engineering principles, best practices, and supporting technologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Foster collaborative working relationships with global teams, internal colleagues, and third-party suppliers.
- Proven experience in taking a hands-on and entrepreneurial approach to problem solving finding the right balance between tactical and strategic solutions.
- Exposure to products like Charles River, State Street Alpha, and Factset
- Experience in developing and rolling out light weight governance processes to promote a culture of implementing strong data management practices in a decentralized model
