ROLE SUMMARY:
The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building and equipment maintenance and providing assistance with production line set ups. They'll play a critical role in coordinating and completing preventive and emergency maintenance activities for the building, machinery, and equipment.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN CAN LOOK LIKE:
Preventive Maintenance: Performing and documenting preventive maintenance on production machinery and building/facility equipment
Production Set-Up: Preparing and setting up machinery for scheduled production runs
Equipment Management: Installing, moving, or removing production machinery and building/facility equipment
Emergency Repairs: Providing emergency/unscheduled repairs of production machinery and building/facility equipment
Facilities Maintenance: Performing building and grounds maintenance, including routine, landscape maintenance, snow and ice removal, interior and exterior lighting, and signage maintenance
Multifaceted Repairs: Performing minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, paint, carpentry, and forklift repairs
Standardization: Assisting supervisor in developing standard set-up procedures for production lines
Innovative Solutions: Assisting in designing and building production assist devices to improve productivity
Inventory Management: Maintaining a well-organized inventory of tools, replacement parts, repair items, and equipment
Safety Compliance: Ensuring safety policies and procedures comply with local, state, and federal OSHA rules and regulations
Environmental Compliance: Assisting in the clean-up and disposal of contaminated substances in the facility
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or G.E.D. required
At least 1 year of experience working in an industrial environment
Valid Driver’s license required
Proficient problem-solving skills
Proficient written and verbal communication skills
Proficient mechanical skills required
Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems
LOCATION: St. Peters, Missouri
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday: 7:00am - 3:30pm
PAY: $23 - $24 per hour
