Job Description
Client is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented WebDriverIO Automation Engineer to join their growing team. You will play a vital role in designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests to ensure the quality and functionality of their web applications.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, QA, product) to understand testing needs and define effective test automation strategies.
Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automated test suites using WebDriverIO.
Write clean, concise, and well-documented test scripts that adhere to best practices.
Leverage WebDriverIO's capabilities to perform comprehensive end-to-end testing, including UI interaction, API testing, and user flows.
Execute automated test suites regularly and analyze results to identify and report software defects with clear steps to reproduce.
Actively participate in code reviews to uphold code quality and best practices.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in WebDriverIO and automation testing methodologies.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in WebDriverIO and JavaScript/TypeScript.
In-depth understanding of web development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Solid experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Mocha, Jasmine).
Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work seamlessly across teams.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks while thriving in a collaborative environment.
Bonus Points
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
Knowledge of mobile app testing with WebDriverIO and Appium.
Experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber.js).
