We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Distribution Centre Implementation Manager for a top 10 Third-Party Logistics (3PL) provider. You will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative solutions and managing a team to transform the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team responsible for the implementation of new distribution centres, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end implementation process, including planning, design, construction, and operational startup of new distribution centres.
Automation Integration: Ensure the integration of advanced warehouse automation solutions, utilising a blend of new and existing technologies to meet clients' unique needs effectively.
Financial Oversight: Demonstrate a deep understanding of financial metrics, including ROIC, Payback, IRR, and more. Evaluate and ensure that proposed solutions align with desired financial thresholds.
Vendor Collaboration: Work closely with vendor partners and integration teams, managing costing and technical specifications to ensure seamless project execution.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with internal stakeholders, clients, and external partners to ensure project goals are met.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the distribution centre design and implementation process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Proven experience in managing teams responsible for the implementation of supply chain solutions, with a strong understanding of distribution centre operations and cutting-edge technologies (Conveyor Systems, AGVs, ASRS, Robotics and Pick & Place Systems, Sortation Systems, Voice & Pick-to-Light Systems, Goods-to-Person Systems, etc.).
In-depth knowledge of financial metrics and the ability to analyse and apply these metrics in project assessments.
Strong project management skills with a track record of effectively leading cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build successful partnerships with vendors and integrators.
A passion for innovation and the ability to drive continuous improvement within the supply chain implementation process.
