An Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) Behavioral Health Technician provides individual services to the child/youth consistent with attaining the goals of the Individual Resiliency Plan, including the implementation, modeling and coaching of identified interventions in order to promote crisis stabilization and supporting the child/youth, caregiver and other team members with challenging behaviors they are experiencing across settings.
An IBHS Behavioral Health Technician must have a minimum of a Bachelor degree from an accredited college, university or foreign equivalent in one of the following disciplines: psychology, counseling or sociology and one of the following:
Certification as a BCBA
Certification as a RBT
Certification as a BCAT
Behavioral Health Certification or Behavioral Analysis Certification from an organization that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute
Forty hours of training covering the RBT Task List evidenced by a Certification that includes the name of the responsible trainer, who is certified as a BCBA or BCaBA
Have a minimum of two years experience in the provision of behavioral health services
