As an IAM Security Engineer III, you will play a critical role in managing and enhancing our identity and access management systems. This position focuses on our implementation of Okta solutions and encompasses a broad range of responsibilities including access management, user lifecycle management, user access reviews, compliance, and security of our access infrastructure. Your role requires a deep understanding of technical IAM aspects, operational management, and compliance within a dynamic environment, ensuring the security and efficiency of user access across the organization.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage and Optimize Okta IAM Solutions: Administer Okta based IAM services, including lifecycle management, user authentication, and security policies. Utilize Okta Workflows to automate processes and seamlessly integrate security practices across the business.
  • Policy Enforcement and Compliance: Regularly update and enforce access control policies to ensure compliance with SOX, PCI, and internal security policies.
  • User Access Reviews: Conduct comprehensive reviews and audits of user permissions to ensure they are granted and revoked as needed.
  • Collaborate with IT and Cybersecurity Teams: Provide IAM support and expertise in the deployment of new systems and technologies, ensuring robust integration with our Okta solutions.
  • Mentorship and Training: Guide and support junior staff in IAM best practices, with a particular focus on the use of Okta solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Proactively seek improvements in IAM processes, enhancing security, efficiency, and user experience through advanced use of Okta technologies.

  • Collaborative Spirit: Your experience in providing IAM support and expertise in the deployment of new systems and technologies demonstrates your ability to ensure robust integration with IT and cybersecurity teams.
  • Leadership in Mentorship: You guide and support junior staff in IAM best practices, particularly with the use of Okta solutions, enhancing the team’s overall skill set and operational efficiency.
  • Innovative Mindset: You continuously seek opportunities to improve IAM processes, leveraging advanced technologies and methodologies to enhance security, efficiency, and user experience.
  • Technical Proficiency Across Platforms: You possess a high level of knowledge and proficiency in managing identity solutions across key platforms such as Active Directory, Workday, and Google.
  • Automation and Scripting Skills: You are skilled in identifying opportunities for automation and adept at scripting in Python or other languages, which enhances system efficiency and operational effectiveness.


  • What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent real-world experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in identity and access management, with a strong focus on compliance and operational improvements.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks such as SOX, PCI.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to guide and mentor.


  • $128,000 - $150,000 a year

    Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of New York, NY. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
