HVAC Commercial Pipefitters

Job Description

PeopleReady Skilled Trades is currently hiring HVAC pipefitters for commercial projects in the South Austin area.

Pay Rate: $29 / hour.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to interpret blueprints and lay out pipes.
• Layout, assembly, and installation of piping systems in commercial buildings.
• Knowledge of soldering and brazing
• Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
• Work with various types of tools, gauges, and measuring equipment.
• Secure pipes to structures with clamps, brackets, and hangers.
• Position, align, fit, tack-weld, assemble, and install valves, hangers, pipe, and fittings composed of metals such as iron, steel, aluminum, brass, and copper using hand tools, roustabouts, grasshoppers, come-along, chin falls, and power tools.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years pipefitting experience
• Must have own tools
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have experience with pipefitting in the HVAC industry
