Human Resources Specialist

QUALIFICATIONS


  • 5+ years of HR experience
  • Management experience
  • Thorough knowledge of organizational development, benefits administration, employee relations, recruitment, learning and development, and a human resources information system (HRIS)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Utah labor laws and federal mandates
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
  • Humble demeanor and ability to lead with service and respect


These preferred criteria would help you stand out:

  • Experience in a nonprofit
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) certification
  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience


WHAT TO EXPECT


In this HR position, you lead our client's administrative functions and ensure everything aligns with their strategic plan. You jump into our client's existing HR framework and help take their nonprofit to the next level. Finding the balance between being down-to-earth and professional, you direct organizational development initiatives and oversee recruitment and staffing. You lead strategic HR projects, manage performance rewards, and support employee onboarding. As a member of the senior leadership team, you ensure employees are paid properly, benefits are correctly administered, and all office operations meet relevant regulations.
