Role Summary: The Leave and Accommodation Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting absence management operations. This individual will handle separation letters, case management activities, and manage leave notifications. Additionally, they will collaborate with managers on accommodation reviews and approvals. The role involves addressing escalations, general inquiries, and providing policy interpretation and consultation.


Key Responsibilities:


Escalated ESS/MSS Inquiries:

  • Interpret policies, guidelines, and address advanced tax and payroll issues.

Employee Relations:

  • Handle escalated employee relations questions.
  • Communicate and resolve escalated employee inquiries delegated by HR Advisors.

Process Enhancement and Support:

  • Execute and enhance process work supported by the HR Shared Services organization.
  • Collaborate with other HR departments to promote team alignment.
  • Investigate unique/complex HR-related issues beyond basic training and resolve them directly with employees and managers according to SLAs.
  • Lead team support for new services projects during transition.
  • Continuously evaluate existing work processes and recommend improvements.
  • Identify opportunities for educating the team.

Knowledge Transfer and Support:

  • Partner with other HR services and HR Business Partners to facilitate knowledge transfer between the service center and HR departments.
  • Provide support to lower-level representatives and new staff as needed.
  • Assist service center staff with phone traffic as required.



Required Hard Skills:

  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) software.
  • Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and reporting.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.


Attendance and Other Duties:

  • Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
  • Be available to work nights, weekends, and overtime as necessary.
