The Human Resources Intern will perform a variety of services as outlined herein and back-up for other areas outlined herein, as well as, policy/procedure interpretation and administration, employee relations, counseling, investigations, FMLA and ADA compliance and record keeping.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
Greet employees, answer employee inquiries and / or refer them to the appropriate person.
Assist with New Hire Orientation and on-boarding
Make employee badges
I-9 entry and compliance
Update and maintain training documentation within current Training Matrix
Enter and modify employees in various HR systems
Create and maintain personnel folders
Assist with attendance policy
Conduct interviews for various positions
Assist HR department with data entry and collection
Maintain manpower reports
Maintain emergency contact list
Provide back-up within the department and perform other duties as assigned
Experience:
Must be enrolled in a Human Resources Bachelor's Degree program or related field or equivalent experience
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies and procedure manuals and operating instructions.
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Knowledge of HRIS – utilization and management
Word, Excel, PowerPoint experience is a must
Ability to maintain composure under various levels of pressures, stress, and fast paced activities
