Human Resources Generalist - Training and Development

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic HR Generalist with a strong focus on Training and Development to join our Human Resources team. This role is critical in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. The HR Generalist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training programs that enhance the skills and capabilities of our workforce.


Key Responsibilities:

Training Program Development:

  • Design and develop engaging training programs and materials that meet the developmental needs of employees at all levels.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and align programs with organizational goals.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance metrics, and make necessary adjustments.


Facilitation and Delivery:

  • Conduct training sessions and workshops using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role-playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, and lectures.
  • Coordinate with external training providers and consultants as needed.
  • Ensure training sessions are engaging and interactive to maximize learning outcomes.


Employee Development:

  • Assist in the creation and management of career development plans and succession planning.
  • Provide coaching and support to employees in their professional development journey.
  • Promote and support continuous learning and development opportunities within the organization.


Compliance and Record-Keeping:

  • Ensure training programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities and employee participation.
  • Prepare reports on training program effectiveness and outcomes for management review.


HR Generalist Duties:


  • Support general HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, payroll, benefits administration and compliance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives as required.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on training and development.
  • Strong knowledge of training methodologies, adult learning principles, and instructional design.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Proficient in using training software and tools (e.g., Learning Management Systems, e-learning platforms).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) or Training and Development (e.g., CPTD).
  • Experience with virtual and remote training delivery.
  • Knowledge of performance management systems and career development frameworks.


Base salary: USD $70,000 - $80,000


An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
