JOB DESCRIPTION:

Company Overview: WaterWalk is a dynamic and rapidly growing hospitality organization with a portfolio of hotels across various states, each offering unique guest experiences. WaterWalk brings an innovative approach to the extended stay hotel segment, offering both traditional extended stay suites as well as unfurnished suite options for longer stay lengths. We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated professional to join our team as the Senior Director of Human Resources. This remote position will play a critical role in shaping and implementing human resources strategies across our hotels and corporate office.


Job Summary: As the Senior Director of Human Resources, you will be responsible for developing and executing HR initiatives that align with our company's goals and values. This position requires an individual with a strong background in writing and creating policies and procedures, as well as the ability to serve as a liaison with our Human Resources Outsourcing (HRO) partner. This role will be instrumental in fostering team engagement through a positive work culture, managing employee relations, ensuring compliance with all relevant employment laws and optimizing the overall HR function.


Key Responsibilities:

Policy and Procedure Development:

Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with legal requirements and industry best practices.

Implement standardized processes across all hotels to promote consistency and efficiency.

Liaison with PEO or HRO:

Act as the primary point of contact between the company and a Professional Employee Organization or a Human Resources Outsourcing partner. Collaborate with the PEO or HRO to address HR needs, resolve issues, and optimize service delivery.

Strategic HR Planning:

Work closely with executive leadership to understand business goals and develop HR strategies that support organizational objectives.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in HR operations.

Employee Relations:

Address employee relations issues promptly, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.

Conduct investigations and recommend corrective actions as needed.

Compliance:

Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations, ensuring that HR policies and practices remain compliant.

Conduct regular audits to assess and mitigate legal risks.

Training and Development:

Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and develop programs that enhance employee skills and knowledge.

Develop and implement leadership training programs to further develop team member and support their growth.

Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Employee Benefits Management:

Research, analyze, and evaluate employee benefit options to ensure competitive and cost-effective packages.

Collaborate with benefits providers to optimize offerings and enhance employee satisfaction.

Recruiting and Hiring Assistance:

Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.

Work closely with hiring managers to streamline the hiring process and ensure a positive candidate experience.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or HR certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably within the hospitality industry, 5+ years preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices, member of SHRM preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, with occasional travel as needed.
