Overview:

Redwood Outdoors, an innovative e-commerce company specializing in Outdoor Saunas & Cold Plunge Tubs, is seeking an HR Director. The HR Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes. This role will support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives. The HR Director will develop and implement HR strategies that align with the overall business plan and ensure the effective and efficient use of human capital. 


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Planning and Management:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Support and advise managers on HR situations that arise in their team
  • Dispute management and resolution
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process to attract, recruit, and retain a diverse, high-quality workforce.


Policy Development and Compliance:

  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensure compliance.


Employee Performance and Development:

  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Develop and oversee competitive compensation and benefits plans.
  • Monitor the organization's salary structure and benefits provision to ensure a balance between control of costs and attracting and retaining staff.


Organizational Development:

  • Shape the culture of the organization by fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Implement programs to promote organizational and employee development.
  • Advise and support managers on organizational structure and workforce planning.


HR Metrics and Reporting:

  • Develop and utilize metrics to measure the success and efficiency of HR functions and workforce productivity.
  • Prepare and maintain reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the department and company.


Qualifications:


Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is preferred.


Experience: Proven working experience as an HR Manager, HR Director, or other senior HR roles with a minimum of 6-8 years of experience.


Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HR metrics and data analysis.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.

Salary Range:

$150,000-$180,000
