Job Overview: Under supervision of the HR Supervisor, the HR Generalist uses knowledge and skills obtained through experience and training to assist in the developing, and implementing HR practices, procedures and solutions for the clients being supported in the assigned region. **This role requires 2-4 years of diverse HR experience within various industries and a PHR/SPHR or SHRM certification is preferred.**

Job Responsibilities

  • Works with the HR Team to support the execution of human resources plans and practices. These items may include, which may be onsite if needed:
  • Performs I9 compliance and File Audits.
  • Conducts exit interviews and stay interviews.
  • Provides open enrollment support (possible onsite).
  • Communication with employees to announce open enrollment.
  • Meeting facilitation with client, broker, HR and benefits teams.
  • Complies EEO-1 Reporting.
  • Assists in Employee Onboarding Support.
  • Next level support after Employee Onboarding Associate.
  • Creation of SOPs.
  • Assists in performing internal client investigations.
  • Maintaining employee records and information in client systems.
  • HRIS familiarity to provide recommendations for HCM projects working directly with HCM system support.
  • Interacts directly with clients in the areas of Employee Relations, Compensation Administration, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, and Organization Talent Development to support lead HRBP initiatives.
  • Partners with internal service teams to ensure delivery of services in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Provides input and support for the HRBP projects.
  • Participates in developing and optimizing client systems and processes.
  • Refines knowledge of progressive HR practices and key trends.
  • Identifies areas for continuous improvement of HR services and processes.
  • Maintains current knowledge of legal requirements as well as state and federal regulations which impact human resource functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Participates in all department staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of two (2) years progressively responsible human resources experience.
  • Or minimum four (4) years progressively responsible human resources experience.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP Certification Preferred.
  • Principles, practices, and procedures of human resources administration associated with employment; compensation and classification; and employee development.
  • Broad knowledge of all functions that reside under the HR umbrella.
  • Legal requirements and federal and state regulations related to employment.
  • Facilitation and presentation methods and techniques.
  • Statistical methods and concepts and other analytical tools used in human resource processes.
  • Interviewing and candidate evaluation processes.
  • Multiple HRIS and payroll software systems.
  • Delivering clear and effective presentations.
  • Analysis of a myriad of HR data and ability to draw conclusions based on the data.
  • Interpret and apply state and federal statutes and applicable rules and regulations to moderately complex human resource issues and problems.
  • Provide appropriate recommendations for resolution of simple/moderately complex employment and employee relations issues.
  • Organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Proficient in client relationship management tools, virtual meeting software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Use appropriate interpersonal styles and communicate effectively, both verbal and written with all organizational levels.
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Keep all appropriate parties up to date on decisions, changes, and other relevant information.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
