This position will administer and coordinate the Human Resource policies and programs covering several of the following areas: employee relations, wage, salary and payroll administration, orientation and training, safety and health, benefits administration. This position also administers the recruitment, development, and retention of employees; has knowledge of EEO laws and general human resources concepts. This position reports to the owner
Core Responsibilities
Implements and administers on-going policies, programs, and procedures to foster understanding of and partner with management and supervisors for optimal positive employee relations and retention strategies.
Assist in managing the Time and Labor system for accuracy
Informing applicants about position details, including benefits, duties and pre-employment paperwork
Keeping process paperwork and employment records
Distributes and support reminders of employee performance evaluations and ensures they are completed in a timely manner (i.e., three months, one year, and yearly thereafter)
Assists Payroll Manager to verify payroll changes, memo completion and accuracy of changes in salaries, bonuses and expenses, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
Assists in the accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
Aid with employee apparel orders and coordination for the yearly orders
Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
Travel between locations as needed
Performs other duties as assigned
Ensures communication between managers and/or supervisors is fluid and continuous.
Manages all new employee recruitment, orientation, and training.
Responsible for employee benefit enrollments, questions, or inquiries.
Qualifications

4+ years’ relevant experience, bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred but not required.
General knowledge of employment laws and practices.
Knowledge of Human Resource systems; Internet software; Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Payroll Database software.
Possesses specialized knowledge of HR systems, processes, and procedures, including administration of benefits, compensation, and other programs.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Ability to work well with others in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Must be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week: hours 12:00 p.m. to 7p.m. Monday to Friday
Pay: $20-$22 hr.
