Description

Overview:

The HR Operations Coordinator will contribute to departmental efforts to continuously strengthen the employee experience and organizational culture and support practices to effectively assimilate new employees into the organization and throughout their entire employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all tactical and administrative of the employee lifecycle through our HR Systems, including onboarding, employee data changes, job title changes, promotion processes, transfers, and offboarding.
  • Manage the systemic onboarding process for all new hires, including full-time and part-time regular employees, interns, temporary contractors, and third-party employees, as a general resource for all new hire questions.
  • Coordinate and handle all pre-employment paperwork, new hire paperwork, termination paperwork, and other necessary documentation.
  • Create and maintain electronic personnel files.
  • Create and maintain I-9 records, send notification reminders when work authorization expires, and procure updated Form I-9 documentation where required.
  • Oversee all third-party vendor staff onboarding and offboarding to ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR system processes and improve the efficiency of the onboarding process.
  • Maintain high regard for employee privacy following applicable policies and regulations.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and ability to act with high integrity and confidentiality.


Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain exit interview database for departing employees
  • Provide employment verifications for employees with special requests not handled by third-party vendors and monitor the HR mailbox.
  • Performs other related duties and functions as assigned by the Director, HR Business Partner.
  • Participate in projects led by the HR Business partner.
  • Stay informed about employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Create reports, forms, and correspondence as necessary.
  • Any other project work or job duties, as assigned.


Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience, preferably in HR Operations, in an onboarding or administrative role.
  • Experience working in a full-time remote, work-from-home position (pre- or post-pandemic) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, using HRIS systems, internet research, and database skills are required.
  • Technically minded and comfortable learning and working with multiple business software apps.
  • Must be located in Eastern or Central Time zone. The ability to work overtime is required for this role.

  • Self-motivation & Problem-Solving: Self-starter with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues proactively and independently, fostering a solutions-oriented approach.


The actual salary will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, HR knowledge, and, if applicable, the location where the applicant lives and from which they will be performing the job.

Pay range: $28.84 - $31.73 per hour
