Summary And Scope

The focus of this position is to support the daily functions of the Human Resources department through administrative support as well as support the Employee Support Center call center operations. This position is part-time.

Schedule

  • Thursday 4:00pm - 9:00 pm ET
  • Friday 4:00pm - 9:00 pm ET
  • Saturday 2:00pm -10:00pm pm ET
  • Sunday 2:00pm -10:00pm pm ET
  • Other days/hours if available and needed.

Essential Functions

  • Works in the Employee Support Center (ESC) and performs a variety of HR Admin tasks to resolve employee issues.
  • Answers employee inquiries through phone, email, or text messages. 
  • Routes complex or sensitive matters to appropriate subject matter expert or supervisor.
  • Spends majority of time answering phone calls and identifying the customer’s request to route the call appropriately.
  • Assists with various administrative HR tasks.
  • Provides onboarding support to new hires (HR Lifeguard program); ensures completion of all required onboarding tasks and helps employees understand and fit into our culture.
  • Assists with routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale.
  • Documents and tracks human resources actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Escalates concerns in relation to HR and other matters to the appropriate management staff as necessary.
  • Maintains and reports data related to Employee Support Center on a monthly and/or as needed.
  • Participates in any HR-related projects as assigned.
  • Supports, communicates, reinforces, and upholds the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information.
  • Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned.

Skills And Specifications

  • Possess strong organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Outlook) .
  • Must possess basic computer skills and adapt to general software/programs as required.
  • Must live within the Contiguous United States.
  • Must be able to work the expected hours.
  • Able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Attention to detail and driven to maintain sound compliance system adherence.
  • Ability to use HRIS related computer programs and software; experience with UKG UltiPro preferred, call center software (preferred).
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred.

Required Education And Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required.
  • Associate degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, preferred.
  • 2 years of administrative support or human resources experience, required.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, see, hear, sit for extended periods, stand, walk, engage in repetitive motions, and use hands and fingers to manipulate objects, tools, or controls. May lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. 

Expected Hours of Work

This is a part time position. The ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends will be required based on contract needs. It is expected for this position to attend regular meetings during typical work hours in Eastern Standard Time as well as meetings as needed for assigned projects in other time zones.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smart phones, tablets, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other presentation materials. There is an expectation of clear communication in English both written and orally.

Travel

This position requires up to 10% travel. Travel is dependent on contract load. The ability to travel to job sites and be away for extended periods of time based on contract needs is required. Short notice travel is required with 24-48 hours’ notice.

Work Authorization

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS)
  • Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, occupational health physical and lift test (if applicable), credit check (if applicable), and a background check upon accepting a conditional offer of employment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license. Have/maintain a clean driving record.
