PROGRAM SUPERVISOR

FLSA Status: Full-time, Salary, Exempt

FTE: 1.0

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000/Annually

This role has the opportunity to significantly impact the lives of individuals and families experiencing homelessness by developing, supporting, and growing our housing services at Guild. These programs help clients who are facing numerous barriers (mental illness, substance use disorder, poverty, chronic medical conditions, etc.) get out of homelessness and into safe, stable, and affordable housing in the community of their choice. The Program Supervisor ensures the staff on these teams are fully trained, connected to resources, in compliance with statutes and regulations, and ready to deliver outstanding services to our clients.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and supervision to assigned staff to ensure compliance with agency policies and standards.
  • Provide supervision to team staff members with focus on providing services to clients according to their functioning level, readiness for change, and maintaining stability in their homes.
  • Evaluate performance of staff supervised.
  • Communicate responsibilities and expectations to staff, maintain communications with employees and provide ongoing oral and written assessment of their performance.
  • Facilitate regular program meetings to discuss changes in client needs that might necessitate changes in level of care, resources, etc.
  • Assure that individual records are complete, reflect the service being provided and meet agency standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with social service providers, community providers, county staff and landlords (property managers and owners).
  • Reach out to establish new relationships with landlords through direct phone and in-person outreach.
  • Participate in local and state housing committees.
  • Maintain good working relationships with landlords and proactively address concerns they may have regarding their tenants or housing system issues.
  • Collaborate with staff in problem-solving and advocacy for clients with a goal of building staff skills and independence.
  • Promote an inclusive, diverse, culturally competent, and respectful work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology or human services related field OR
  • Qualified as a mental health practitioner within the state of Minnesota by one of the following:
    • At least 30 semester/45 quarter credits AND 2000 hours of supervised experience in the provision of mental health services.
    • 4,000 hours of supervised experience in the provision of mental health services.
Preferred

  • At least one year (full-time) experience in a leadership position responsible for managing the performance of direct reports.
  • Experience working with housing and/or homeless outreach programs.

Additional Requirements

  • Must not be actively receiving services from Guild and must not have received services within the last two years.
