City Net is currently seeking Drug and Alcohol Counselors to join our Multi-Disciplinary Response Team, providing assistance to individuals experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges. As part of this role, you will conduct mental health assessments, offer support to clients in achieving their goals, and collaborate with various stakeholders to connect individuals with necessary services, including housing, medical treatment, and counseling.
Responsibilities
Conduct mental health assessments and develop long-term housing plans
Work in interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and service coordination
Collaborate with community partners to ensure clients' needs are met efficiently
Report daily to the Santa Ana office and engage in fieldwork across the region
Operate in various environments, including local neighborhoods, shelters, and office spaces
Maintain professional relationships, ensure excellent communication, and manage time effectively
Demonstrate proficiency in PC skills, Microsoft Office Suite, iPhone, and Google Suite
Requirements
Possession of Substance Use Disorder Counseling Certification/Credentials
Demonstrated experience in cultivating professional relationships
Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in PC skills, Microsoft Office Suite, iPhone, and Google Suite
Authorization to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field
Previous experience in case management with target populations
Familiarity with homelessness services in the Santa Ana area
